Privacy policy
Last updated 19 August 2026
This policy explains what personal information vasectomyhelp.com.au collects, why, who it's shared with, and the choices you have. The site is operated by Aston Social Pty Ltd, trading as Aston Digital ("we", "us"), an Australian company. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
The short version
- Browsing this site collects almost nothing about you.
- If you submit an enquiry, your details go only to the clinic or clinics you asked to hear from.
- We never sell your information and never add you to marketing lists.
- Because a vasectomy enquiry says something about your health, we treat it as sensitive information and only collect it with your explicit consent.
What we collect
We only collect personal information you choose to give us, mainly through our clinic enquiry forms:
- Your name
- Contact details — phone number and/or email address
- Your postcode or suburb, so we can match you with nearby clinics
- Your preferences — for example preferred timing, whether you have a Medicare card, or anything you write in a message field
If you email us directly, we collect whatever you include in your email. We don't ask for, and you shouldn't send, medical records or detailed health history.
Sensitive information and your consent
An enquiry about a vasectomy is health-adjacent: the fact that you're considering the procedure is information about your health. The Privacy Act treats health information as "sensitive information", which has stronger protections. We only collect it with your explicit consent — that's the consent checkbox on our forms, which is never pre-ticked. If you don't tick it, the form won't submit and nothing is collected. You can browse every page of this site without giving us any of this information.
Who we share it with
Your enquiry details are shared only with the clinic or clinics you asked to hear from — either a specific clinic whose details you unlocked, or up to three clinics matched to your location and preferences where you've asked to be matched. The form always tells you which applies before you submit. Beyond that:
- We never sell personal information to anyone.
- We never share it with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms.
- We never add you to a marketing list — ours or anyone else's.
- We use a small number of service providers (such as website hosting and form processing) who store data on our behalf under contract; they can't use it for their own purposes.
- We may disclose information where the law requires it.
Once a clinic receives your enquiry, its own privacy policy applies to what it does next. Some clinics pay us a referral fee for enquiries — see How we make money. The fee is for the introduction; it doesn't give clinics any extra rights over your data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records only as long as needed to pass your enquiry to the clinic(s), resolve any follow-up questions, and meet our record-keeping obligations — as a guide, no longer than 12 months — after which they're deleted or de-identified. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask us at any time to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email privacy@vasectomyhelp.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge for making a request. If we've already passed your enquiry to a clinic, we'll delete our copy and tell you which clinic(s) hold it so you can contact them too.
Cookies and analytics
We keep this minimal. We use basic, privacy-conscious analytics to understand which pages are read and whether the site works — aggregate counts, not profiles of individuals. We don't run advertising trackers or cross-site tracking, and we don't use analytics data to identify you. Any cookies we set are limited to making the site function and measuring aggregate use.
Storage and security
Enquiry data is stored with reputable hosting providers and protected by access controls and encryption in transit. No internet service can promise perfect security, but we collect little, share it narrowly, and delete it promptly — holding less data is the strongest protection we can offer.
Complaints
If you think we've mishandled your personal information, email privacy@vasectomyhelp.com.au with the details. We'll acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. We won't reduce the protections around enquiry data without asking for fresh consent.
