Pick your city below. Each card shows the lowest published out-of-pocket price in that area after the Medicare rebate. Tasmania is compact enough that many men simply book whichever clinic day comes up first — Hobart, Launceston and Wynyard all have published-fee options.
Hobart has the state’s lowest published price at about $484.50 for a same-day consult and procedure on Davey St. Launceston and the North West sit at $518–$573. Tasmanian public hospitals rarely perform elective vasectomy, so the community pathway runs through Family Planning Tasmania — see below.

The public system in Tasmania: Family Planning is the pathway
Tasmania’s public hospitals rarely perform elective vasectomy. The recognised community pathway is Family Planning Tasmania, which hosts vasectomy days at its Glenorchy and Launceston clinics through partner provider Vasectomy Australia, and offers contraception counselling at its Hobart, Launceston and Burnie sites.
Be clear on the billing: FPT bulk-bills its own clinic appointments for under-21s, concession card holders and full-time students, but the vasectomy itself is billed by Vasectomy Australia — $597 out of pocket at Glenorchy, $573 at Launceston — not at FPT concession rates. Call FPT reception to discuss options before booking.
