Vasectomy clinics in Western Australia

We cover 6 WA cities, from Perth to Kalgoorlie. Published out-of-pocket prices run $425.55–$597 after the Medicare rebate (checked Aug 2026). The public system offers very little, so nearly all WA vasectomies are private.

Pick your city below. Each card shows the lowest published out-of-pocket price in that city after the Medicare rebate. Perth has the full range of clinic and day-hospital options; the South West is well served locally; and the Midwest and Goldfields usually mean a visiting specialist or a trip to Perth.

Bunbury holds WA’s lowest published price at $425.55 total out of pocket, with Perth from $477.35 and Mandurah from $491. Perth clinics take direct bookings with no referral, and men with private hospital cover can use a day hospital for minimal or no gap. Albany is the regional standout: a local GP proceduralist offers in-rooms no-scalpel vasectomy with only a few weeks’ wait.

The public system in WA: very limited

Vasectomy is rarely available through WA public hospitals. It’s generally not offered as routine public elective surgery, and Perth GPs typically refer men straight to private clinics. In the country, a GP can refer you to a WA Country Health Service hospital, but vasectomy sits at the bottom of the priority list with long, uncertain waits.

The one real exception is Albany, where Pioneer Health runs a general-anaesthetic list at the public Albany Health Campus — current wait around 9–12 months, against a few weeks for the same practice’s in-rooms local-anaesthetic option. Everywhere else in WA, plan on paying privately: $425.55–$597 out of pocket after the rebate.
